Ndriçim Shani

Chairman of the National Regulatory Commission
Mr. Ndriçim Shani was appointed Chairman of the National Regulatory Commission of the Water Regulatory Entity in Albania in May 2016 and is currently serving his second term in this position. He graduated in 1982 at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnical branch. In 1991 he received the title "Master in hydrology, analysis, quality and water treatment" at the University of Montpellier II, France. He has over 34 years of experience in the field of water supply, sanitation and environment, as a university lecturer and senior design engineer. Mr. Shani has deep experience in the private and public sector in public policy making at the National Government level, as well as in the planning and management of large-scale water supply, sanitation and environmental projects funded by foreign donors. and the Albanian Government. He owns three foreign languages and has completed several mostly long-term qualifications abroad. He is the author of several different texts and manuals in the field of water.

Genci Gjeci

Member of the National Regulatory Commission
Mr. Genci Gjeci was appointed a Member of the National Regulatory Commission of the Water Regulatory Body in Albania, on May 26, 2022. He graduated in 1987 from the University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnical branch. In the years 1990-1993, he completed advanced studies at the "Carolo Wilhelmina" Technical University, in Braunschweig, Germany, where he obtained an engineer's degree and a master's degree in advanced studies in the field of hydrotechnical works. For a period of 3 years he worked in Germany as an engineer in the field of water supply, sewage and gas pipelines. Mr. Gjeci has several years of experience as an advisor of foreign projects in the Ministry of Infrastructure, director of the project implementation unit, financed by the World Bank and other donors. In addition, he has also worked in the position of coordinator of the German Development Bank (KfW) for water supply and sewerage projects, as well as technical director in the construction works of the Ashta Hydropower Plant, financed by the Austrian government. Mr. Gjeci has long experience in the private sector, contributing to the design and implementation of hydrotechnical works.
 

Evis Shurdha

Member of the National Regulatory Commission

Ms. Evis Shurdha was appointed Member of the National Regulatory Commission of the Water Regulatory Entity in Albania on April 14, 2021 and is currently exercising her second mandate in this position. She graduated in Law and Political Science. He completed his Master of Science studies in Private Law, at the European University of Tirana, as well as a Professional Master in Corporate Governance, at the Faculty of Economics, of the same university. He has many years of experience in the private and public sector. In the public sector, she has held important positions as Director of the Administration Department at the Prime Minister's Office and Chair of the Public Procurement Commission. He has completed numerous qualifications inside and outside the country in various matters of good public sector administration.

Namik Simixhiu

Member of the National Regulatory Commission
Z. Namik Simixhiu është emëruar Anëtar i Komisionit Kombëtar Rregullator pranë Entit Rregullator të Ujit në Shqipëri, në 16 Nëntor 2022. Ai është diplomuar për Inxhinieri Hidroteknike në Fakultetin e Inxhinierisë, Universiteti i Tiranës dhe ka një eksperiencë dhjetëra vjeçare në projektim, ndërtim dhe rehabilitimin e veprave inxhinierike, hidroenergjetike dhe ujësjellës kanalizime, të shtrira pothuaj në të gjithë Shqipërinë. Gjatë viteve 1982 -1989 ka drejtuar punimet në kantierin e digës së hidrocentralit të Komanit dhe më pas të hidrocentralit të Banjës. Më tej, ka drejtuar dhe koordinuar projektimin dhe zbatimin e punimeve të ndërtimit të ujësjellës kanalizimeve në qytete dhe fshatra të ndryshme të vendit, duke mbajtur në vijim pozicione kyçe. Z. Simixhiu ka një eksperiencë të gjatë pune në funksione drejtuese në administratën publike, është njohës mjaft i mirë i politikave rregullatore dhe legjislacionit në fuqi në fushën e menaxhimit të integruar të burimeve ujore, mbrojtjen mjedisore dhe menaxhimin e integruar të mbetjeve.

Ediola Braha

Member of the National Regulatory Commission

Ms. Ediola Braha has been appointed a Member of the National Regulatory Commission at the Water Regulatory Body in Albania, on November 16, 2022. She completed her higher studies in 2001 at the "Eqerem Çabej" University in Gjirokastër, the "English Language" branch and further for "Management" Business" at the Faculty of Business Administration, near Kristal University. Ms. Braha started her career in 2001 as an English language teacher at the general secondary school in Levan, Fier, while in January 2010 she was appointed deputy director at the Hospital Directorate "Pëparim Tepelena" in the city of Tepelena, taking two years later the management of this directorate, a task he will hold until 2018. In the meantime, he has also worked as an external lecturer at the Crystal University. Over the years, he has completed numerous trainings and qualifications in the social, managerial and policy-making aspects. Përgjatë 2015-2019, Znj. Braha ka qenë këshilltare në Këshillin Bashkiak, Tepelenë, ndërsa në 2019-2021 deputete në Parlamentin e Shqipërisë.
